What we collect
If you use the inquiry form, we collect the information you enter:
- Name
- Company
- Position (optional)
- Country
- Phone (optional)
- Inquiry type
- Commodity (optional)
- Message
You should not include information you are not authorised to share, or special-category data that is not required for a commercial inquiry.
Our hosting environment and inquiry handling may also process limited technical data such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type and time of request. This is used to operate the site, deliver the form, and reduce abuse (including rate limiting). It is not used to build a marketing profile.
How we collect it
Inquiry data is collected only when you submit the contact form. Technical data is generated automatically when your browser requests pages or the form endpoint.
Legal basis
We process inquiry data to respond to a B2B commercial request. Depending on the laws that apply to you, this is based on:
- your consent, where you choose to send us an inquiry; and/or
- our legitimate interests, and those of the company you represent, in assessing and answering a trade or partnership inquiry.
Where Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) applies, we collect and use personal data for the purposes stated in this policy and do not use it for a new purpose without the consent required under that Ordinance, unless an exemption applies.
Why we use it
We use personal data to:
- receive, assess and respond to trade and commercial inquiries;
- continue a discussion you have initiated, where relevant;
- operate, secure and troubleshoot this website;
- meet legal or regulatory obligations, if they apply.
We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses a consent banner and limited storage to remember your cookie choice. Optional analytics are loaded only if you select “Accept all” and only if a measurement identifier has been configured. No analytics identifier is hard-coded on the public site. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
How long we keep it
Inquiry records are retained for as long as necessary to handle the inquiry and for 24 months thereafter, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operation of the site.
The cookie-consent preference stored in your browser remains until you clear site data or otherwise delete it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share it with service providers who process it on our instructions:
- website hosting: [HOSTING PROVIDER NAME]
- email delivery for inquiries: [EMAIL DELIVERY PROVIDER NAME]
These providers may change. We will update this policy when names are confirmed. We may also disclose information if required by law, a competent authority, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Sevvenn, our counterparties or others.
International transfers
Sevvenn is established in Hong Kong SAR. Hosting, email delivery and related processing may take place outside Hong Kong, including in other countries where our processors operate. Those countries may not provide the same legal protections as Hong Kong, the EU or the UK. We use processors only as needed to run the website and handle inquiries.
Your rights
Under Hong Kong PDPO, you may request access to personal data we hold about you and correction of that data, subject to the Ordinance.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction that grants similar rights, you may also have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- request erasure;
- restrict processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive data you provided in a structured, commonly used format (portability), where that right applies;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior lawful processing;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement. In Hong Kong, complaints may be made to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
We may need to verify your identity and may refuse a request where the law allows.
